Client Service Representatives: Our Client Service Representatives are the first faces you see when you walk into the door at Piper Heritage. They assist our clients in just about every aspect of the clinic including scheduling appointments, filling medications, and informing our clients about preventative health care.
Mary N. is the creative one here at PHVC. Mary worked in the movie business for 21 years and has made the jump to the veterinary field. When you walk into the lobby you will be sure to notice the information board that Mary updates monthly with her informative and creative style. You can find Mary at the reception desk or assisting in exam rooms. Mary has two beagles, Watson and Baleigh, and two cats, Nacho and Macchiato.
Margo S. joined the Piper Heritage Team in February of 2017. She used to work in the graphic design field but decided to pursue her life long love of animals. She is considering becoming a registered veterinary technician. Margo has a 6 year old rescue Shepherd mix named Gretel. She loves playing tennis, baking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Kimberly N. joined Piper Heritage in February of 2017. She decided to work in the veterinary field due to her love for animals and a desire to help people with animals. She has a 1 year old Shar Pei/Pitbull mix named Laila and a 9 month old kitty named Harlee. She likes walking Laila at the lake, relaxing at home, and spending time with Harlee.
We have two registered technicians at Piper Heritage. In order to become a registered technician two years of formal educational training are required as well as a written exam. Technicians, just like veterinarians, have to complete continuing education every year in order to maintain their license. Our technicians assist the doctors with diagnostics, surgery, dental procedures and anesthesia. They also perform various in house laboratory testing and provide post-operative nursing care to our patients.
Matt is a Registered Veterinary Technician who joined Piper Heritage full time in the summer of 2015. He has an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Colby Community College. Prior to earning his RVT credentials, Matt volunteered with various rescue organizations in Kansas City. He lives in Kansas City, KS with his pit bull, Murphy.
Heather graduated from Brown Mackie College with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Veterinary technology and became a registered technician in April of 2017. She enjoys playing sand volleyball, painting, and spending time with her dog Kodak.
Mary S. spends most of her time in the treatment and surgery rooms at Piper Heritage. She takes great care of your pets while they are hospitalized and undergoing medical procedures or surgery. Mary assists the doctors in surgery and in the exam rooms. She enjoys spending time outdoors and stays busy with her four horses, mule, and dog Sugar.
Karen L. joined Piper Heritage in November of 2016. She graduated from Kansas State with a bachelors in animal science. She is working towards attending veterinary school at Kansas State University. She enjoys traveling and baking. She has a one year old beagle mix named Miles and a husband that keep her busy in her spare time.
Emily O. joined Piper Heritage in February of 2017. She is veterinary assistant certified through the Animal Behavioral College (ABC). She worked with a pet rescue for 6 months before joining Piper Heritage and continues to help and volunteer with the organization including fostering. She has always had many animals including bunnies, dwarf hamsters, cats, dogs, and fish. Her favorite fur child is Mr. Bigglesworth, her 1 year old tuxedo kitty.
